Catarman, Northern Samar- The Commander of 8^th Infantry (Storm Troopers) division, Philippine Army, MGEN ARMANDO L CUNANAN AFP visited the 803^rd Infantry “Peacemaker” Brigade under COL EDUARDO D DEL ROSARIO FA (GSC) PA on February 1, 2008.

This is his second visit to the home of the “Peacemaker” the first during the Change of Command Ceremony last October 31, 2007 and the second leg of his troop visitation and inspection to 8ID units in Region 8. The first unit he visited is the 20^th Infantry “We Lead” Battalion at PPA Compound, Brgy Salvacion San Isidro, NSamar in the morning of February 1, 2008. MGEN Cunanan then proceeded to the Headquarters of 803^rd Infantry Brigade in Brgy Dalakit, Catarman, NSamar, where he was warmly welcomed by the Officers and Men of the Peacemaker Brigade.

During his dialogue with the soldiers, MGEN CUNANAN cited the significant contribution of the “Storm Troopers” Division to the over-all accomplishment of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and extended his appreciation for the unrelenting efforts of the 803^rd Infantry “Peacemaker” Brigade in the fight against the Communist Terrorists. Further, he assured the troops that the “morale and welfare of each soldier is given primary concern”. “I have been doing rounds to all our units to uplift the morale of our troops, to keep you abreast with the programs of the Army and ensure that we maintain our cohesiveness and loyalty to our constitution,” he added. He also encouraged the soldiers to transcend their limitations and do their best to accomplish the mission.
